Overview
Nursing Home Administrator - Long Term Care for a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of housing and services to seniors.
Location:
Inver Grove Heights, MN.
Shift: Day.
Schedule:
Full time. Weekly hours: 40.
- Provide overall leadership and management of the location, achieving established goals and outcomes while ensuring regulatory and organizational compliance.
- Direct and coordinate work, maintain financial and operational stability, and demonstrate strong leadership.
- Manage Resident Services: communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and the medical community; proactively address changes, issues, and needs; ensure services meet residents’ physical and mental needs; monitor marketing and communication for all service levels; practice active listening.
- Manage Risk and Infection Prevention: assign responsibility for infection prevention and control; provide necessary equipment and information; monitor data to control infections; create and maintain a culture of safety; conduct regular safety inspections and corrective actions; ensure resident rights are protected and HIPAA compliance is maintained.
- Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI): establish and oversee QAPI program, lead monthly QAPI committee meetings, sponsor performance improvement projects, review findings, and ensure access to information and resources for quality improvements. Act as Compliance Liaison to support the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Oversee Communication and Documentation: convey ideas clearly in writing and speech; seek feedback; ensure regulatory and policy-compliant documentation and reporting; clarify assignments when needed; keep supervisor informed and follow the chain of command.
- Oversee Financial and Operational Objectives: collaborate with department teams and consultants to manage campus operations.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, in healthcare administration or related fields; coursework in business and human resources is desirable.
- State-specific licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator is required; other licenses as appropriate by state requirements and facility needs.
