The Training Chief serves as part of the command structure of the Fire Department, providing direction and scene command at all types of calls for emergency services, in accordance with the Department’s established chain of command. When not responding to calls for service, the Training Chief is responsible for executive-level managerial and administrative work directing, overseeing and carrying‑out the Department’s training and Emergency Medical Services programs, managing the Northern Dakota Training Academy for new hires of multiple agencies, and coordinating high school Cadet pathways and Explorer programs.
