• Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.
• Cultivates a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values.
• Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints.
• Performs required guest contact visits as established by Flynn Applebee's standards.
• Maintains departmental inventory levels.
• Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks.
• Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands.
• Maintains safety and security programs.
• Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
• Supports recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates.
• Supports training procedures for new managers and staff.
• Develops staff through orientation, training sessions, meetings and policy implementation.
• Participates in employee development using One-on-One coaching and performance documentation, contributing to evaluations.
• Assesses employee performance, provides feedback, and supports development.
• Monitors performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action when needed.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Controls costs within the assigned department.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Drives bi-weekly/weekly inventories at the request of the AD/GM and ensures completion.
• Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
• Maintains sanitation standards meeting Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Provides a role model for managers and employees.
• Develops self on all store-related technology.
• Willing and able to work in all positions and assist as needed, including cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc.
• Utilizes the Management Development Program for leadership growth.

• At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus.

Applebee's® Assistant Managers: $15.38 to $26.44 per hour, approximately $44,850 to $68,500 annually based on a 50-hour work week. Potential for monthly bonus, where applicable by location.

• Work various shifts including weekends.
• Stand and move for up to ten hours at a time.
• Lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc., up to 50 pounds.
• Read and write to facilitate communication; dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
