Practice Nurse

Inverkeithing Medical Group is a large, forward-thinking practice serving approximately 18,700 patients across our two sites (Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay). We are seeking a pro-active, forward thinking Practice Nurse to join our nursing group.

We are a well-established multidisciplinary team comprising:

• 12 GP Partners
• 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
• 5 Practice Nurses

Supported by a wider team including:

• A large CTAC team
• Physiotherapy
• Mental Health Nurse
• In-house Pharmacist

• Contribute to the management of long‑term conditions:
  Asthma / COPD, Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease
• Monitor chronic disease in line with protocols, including prescribing adjustments
• Arrange and interpret blood tests
• Deliver cervical screening
• Provide contraceptive services and HRT
• Deliver lifestyle advice and health promotion
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the nursing team
• Act as a role model for high clinical and professional standards
• Contribute to service planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture

• Registered Nurse (NMC)
• Experience in General Practice chronic disease management
• Cervical screening competence

Competitive based upon experience
