Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty standards. Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, compassionate care, following nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. Act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, upholding the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive outcomes.
Whatyou will do in this role
- Assess patients upon admission and during each shift; promptly report changes in status.
- Perform procedures and monitor care as ordered; document care administration; administer medications, monitor therapeutic response, and act on adverse reactions.
- Provide exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively addressing needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up; translate complex terms as needed.
- Florida Registered Nurse license (or appropriate compact licensure); active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if compact license held.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous acute care experience strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal skills; ability to read and follow instructions; basic PC skills.
