Summary:

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to take ownership of audit cycles and assist team members. The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years Audit experience in a client facing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to further enhance their career within a well established local Accountancy Practice.

Duties include:

Assist with audit fieldwork, including data verification, confirming balances, and creating audit files. Review financial statements, trial balances, and source documents for accuracy. Prepare draft audit reports, findings, and recommendations for senior review. Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather information and resolve issues. Monitor implemented audit recommendations to ensure continued effectiveness. Support client acceptance processes and set up new audit engagements.

Preparing high-quality audit work papers, planning documents, and draft statutory accounts for senior review. Performing testing, analytical reviews, and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Recognizing potential audit risks or unusual financial procedures and escalating them to managers. Providing guidance and performance feedback to junior audit staff or interns. Required

Skills & Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Hold, or be working towards, a professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA, or similar). Strong understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISA), UK GAAP, or IFRS. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Audit Software and Financial Software Systems. Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work under tight deadlines.
