Primaire Consulting are looking for an experienced, strategic, and people-driven Business Development Lead for United Kingdom, Ireland & North Europe (Food & Beverage) to drive growth, strengthen market presence, and elevate regional performance.

In this high-impact role, you will steer the strategic direction of the Food & Beverage business across United Kingdom, Ireland & North Europe. You’ll guide local business development teams (through dotted‑line leadership), lead industry‑specific initiatives, and influence both global turnover and margins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic (dotted‑line) leadership to Business Development Managers across the region and shape the Food & Beverage business development strategy.
  • Own regional revenue and profit margin performance for the sector.
  • Conduct deep market analyses, including market sizing, segmentation, and target customer identification at regional and local levels.
  • Build and execute a three‑year strategic business plan for the Food & Beverage industry in United Kingdom, Ireland & North Europe
    .
  • Drive knowledge sharing and best practices across countries and teams.
  • Ensure alignment and collaboration across local Food & Beverage business development functions.
  • Lead customer visits, key account projects, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Identify portfolio gaps, monitor competitor activity, and collaborate closely with Portfolio Management to strengthen our offering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (Preferred).
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or marketing at a managerial level.
  • Strong, inclusive leadership capabilities—able to guide cross‑functional teams through influence rather than hierarchy.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a talent for building trusted relationships with stakeholders and local teams.
  • Understanding of the Food & Beverage market and readiness to navigate a fast‑changing industry landscape.
