We’re growing our commercial team and are recruiting a Senior QS to support our latest programme of works at Nairn Academy. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a high‑profile project. You can either be based from our Office in Inverness or on site at Nairn Academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing all commercial and cost management activity across the project
  • Preparing and reviewing activity schedules, tenders, procurement packages, and commercial reports
  • Leading the commercial interface with key stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Managing variations, compensation events, and contractual correspondence
  • Supporting development of junior QS colleagues and promoting best practice
  • Ensuring robust governance, compliance and commercial forecasting
Essential Qualifications
  • Proven Senior QS experience in build and structural projects (steelwork, concrete, complex buildings)
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (NEC or similar)
  • Ability to lead commercial elements of multidisciplinary construction schemes
  • Experience working with subcontractors and supply chain partners
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and a valid PQP CSCS card
  • A collaborative, positive approach aligned with Balfour Beatty’s Cultural Framework
