Managing Quantity Surveyor

A leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team around Hampshire. Responsibilities of Managing Quantity Surveyor:
Provide accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels Draft and update monthly CVRs, cost and commercial plans, and cash flow reports Compile upstream applications for payment through to final account settlement Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and financial accounting Liaise with clients and third parties on commercial issues including contractual change, claims, and additional payment Effectively manage contract and subcontract agreements, primarily IChemE and NEC forms Ensure supply chain is engaged with correct contract terms and conditions, maintaining strong relationships Support all internal commercial processes, ensuring adherence to time frames and compliance Identify and realise commercial opportunities whilst protecting the business from commercial risk Share best practice and proactively advise site teams on cost management and efficiencies Essential Requirements for Managing Quantity Surveyor:
Previous experience in the construction industry in a commercial role Familiarity with IChemE and NEC forms of contract and knowledge of Construction Law Proven experience in commercial management and subcontractor procurement Demonstrable experience of monthly forecasting and cost analysis Excellent communication, numerical, and IT skills including Microsoft Office Strong organisation and time management skills Desirable:
Member of RICS or working towards CSCS card HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Experience working for a direct delivery contractor Knowledge and experience in estimation
