Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the Highlands?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function, working closely with senior leadership to drive profitability, manage commercial risk and support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects. The successful Commercial Manager will play a key role in the continued growth of the business, while developing commercial best practice across multiple contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial management of civil engineering projects.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost planning and commercial reporting.
  • Manage valuations, applications for payment, variations and final accounts.
  • Administer contracts and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Support tendering activities during pre-construction.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure commercial performance targets are achieved.
  • Work closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers and site teams.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and account settlements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate commercial reports for senior management.
  • Improve commercial procedures and cost management processes.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar.
  • Strong civil engineering or infrastructure background.
  • Excellent understanding of contract administration.
  • Experience managing project costs, variations and final accounts.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership ability.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
