SCOTTISH GRADUATE ENTRY MEDICINE (ScotGEM) – YEAR 4 GENERALIST CLINICAL MENTOR (GCM)
1 SESSION PER WEEK – FIXED TERM – 24 MONTHS
Do you have a passion to inspire the next generation of doctors? Would you like to try some medical education work? We are looking for an enthusiastic educator to join our ScotGEM teaching team of Generalist Clinical Mentors (GCMs) to support the delivery and teaching of the Year 4 students.
NHS Highland is proud to host Graduate Entry Medicine students (ScotGEM) in collaboration with the Universities of St Andrews and Dundee. The Medical Education department is seeking a candidate to support the ScotGEM Year 4 team from the next academic year 2026/27 which starts in August 2026.
ScotGEM is an innovative and exciting four‑year programme that puts GPs at the centre of undergraduate medical education.
The post is NHS Highland Additional Cost of Teaching (ACT) funded and full training for the role will be provided. Educational and administrative support from the Medical Education department will include induction and access to useful faculty development opportunities.
