Nordex is looking for a Wind Turbine Service Technician based at Millennium Windfarm in Inverness-Shire.

Contract Type:
Permanent.

Location:

Millennium Windfarm, Inverness-Shire.

Hours:

Core hours 37 per week (Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm and Friday 8am – 1pm). Overtime and on-call coverage required. Candidates must live within an hour of the windfarm.

Key Responsibilities
  • On site performance analysis and action plan implementation
  • Work closely with technicians and back office staff to perform on‑job demonstrations
  • Support on‑site single turbine improvements on problem turbines
  • Provide on‑site software and hardware updates
  • Support online and phone technical support
  • Create reports on turbine or turbine components
  • Parameter disabling and alarm change handling when necessary
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience working in the mechanical or electrical industry with knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams
  • Mechanical or electrical training at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Ability to identify and define problems, extract information from technical data, and develop workable solutions
  • Adaptability to continuous change and varied challenges
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn, lead and improve continuously
  • Computer literacy and confidence in using MS Office, in‑house databases and workload management systems
  • Fit for working at heights up to 140m, able to pass a working at height test
  • Ready to travel occasionally, including nights away from home
  • Full UK or EU driving licence required
