Authorising Engineer – Offshore Wind (Scotland)
Location: Scotland (Offshore / Onshore Support)
Contract: Long-term (until at least end of 2026)

Spencer Ogden is proud to be partnering with a leading offshore wind developer expanding its operations across Scotland. We’re seeking an experienced Authorising Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations across the company’s offshore wind portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Authorising Engineer for HV/LV electrical systems
, ensuring robust safety governance and compliance. - Provide oversight and assurance under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) framework.
- Lead on the development, implementation, and monitoring of safe systems of work.
- Support Authorised and Competent Persons in maintaining high standards of electrical safety and operational performance.
- Deliver governance, audit, and continuous improvement within the company’s O&M and electrical safety processes.
- Proven experience in an Authorising Engineer or senior electrical safety role, ideally within offshore wind or power generation.
- Strong understanding of WTSR
, HV/LV authorisation
, and electrical safety management systems. - Chartered Engineer (or working towards) preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Long-term contract engagement (through end of 2026, with extension potential).
