This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of major infrastructure projects supporting the UK's energy transition while working within a collaborative and technically focused environment.
The Role As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and delivering civil engineering designs across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.
A key aspect of the role will be the development and coordination of 3D models and digital design outputs, ensuring designs are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects within the Renewables, Power and Transmission sectors.
Produce and review civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
Develop and manage 3D models using industry-standard design software.
Coordinate designs with internal disciplines and external stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and client requirements.
Participate in project planning, design reviews and technical meetings.
Provide technical support during construction and project delivery phases.
Candidate Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in a Senior Civil Design Engineering role.
Strong background delivering civil infrastructure projects.
Experience working within Renewables, Power, Transmission, Utilities or related infrastructure sectors would be highly advantageous.
Proficiency in 3D modelling and design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Open Roads, Micro Station or similar platforms.
Experience producing earthworks, drainage, access roads and infrastructure designs.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative office-based environment.
Chartered status or working towards chartership would be beneficial.
