Trainee MEP Building Services Surveyor

End Systems are now recruiting a Trainee MEP Building Services Surveyor to work as part of a busy team of mechanical and electrical building services surveyors, in producing as fitted MEP drawings, across a variety of projects.

The role requires a hardworking, conscientious operative who is comfortable communicating with clients and has a basic understanding of mechanical/electrical information such as basic MEP schematics and layout drawings, and mechanical / electrical plant and equipment.

Building services surveying encompasses the survey of MEP services / systems on construction sites or within live buildings, which are then created / updated on AutoCAD software to provide our clients with digital as-built drawings of their buildings and associated MEP services within.

The candidate who is enthusiastic to learn as well as being a well organised with excellent time keeping would be ideally suited to the role, however, time served site mechanical/electrical engineers looking for a change of direction in their career would also be suitable. The candidate should be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment that is highly focused on producing work of an excellent standard and working within the clients / project time frames.

An understanding of MEP systems and AutoCAD is preferred but not essential as a composite training plan will be provided to enhance the development of the successful candidate including any necessary AutoCAD courses, with on-site training and development facilitated by our experienced site team.

The Trainee Building Services Surveyor has the following roles and responsibilities and is expected to be proficient in the following:

• Understanding M&E Plant / Equipment
• Understanding Basic Operation of Mechanical & Electrical Systems
• Carry out surveys on Existing/New MEP Systems to a high detailed standard
• Produce detailed As Fitted MEP System layouts/schematics in AutoCAD format
• Liaise directly with clients / building users

• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A full UK driving licence (or working towards one) is preferred
