Job Description

RSE is looking to hire a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join the division on a permanent basis at our H/O in Inverness. You will work as part of our in‑house multidisciplinary design team and take on a key role in all aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients to discuss specific intervention requirements.
  • Develop design deliverables from concept to detailed design.
  • Plan and implement the project design.
  • Provide technical guidance on civil engineering matters to the wider project team.
  • Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
  • Assemble contract works information documents.
  • Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters.
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
  • Implement project change control and programme requirements.
  • Act as Design Lead on allocated projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of British and European design standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Civil Engineer in a design office with additional experience within the construction environment considered desirable.
  • Experience with in the Water industry beneficial, but other backgrounds may be considered.
  • Full UK driving licence.
