What Are We Looking For?
Our Treatment Solutions business platform is recruiting for an experienced Design Lead to join them on a permanent basis at our office in Inverness. This role will be responsible for the leadership, coordination, and successful delivery of multi‑disciplinary design activities, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
Key Duties- Coordinate all project multi‑disciplinary design development activities ensuring compliance with client specifications.
- Prepare, maintain, and monitor project design programmes and ensure design deliverables are achieved in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Develop and coordinate design deliverables including calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all design checking, validation, and approval procedures are undertaken in accordance with company and client technical governance compliance.
- Report project design progress, issues, and risks.
- Develop and own the Design Management Plan.
- Degree, HND, HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a design engineering environment.
- Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary engineering projects.
- Experience preparing and managing design programmes.
- Understanding of project delivery, procurement processes, and contractual documentation.
- Water and wastewater industry experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of WIMES specifications, UK Design Standards and Water Authority standards would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
