Mechanical Design Engineer – Water​/Wastewater Solutions

A Mechanical Design Engineer will join our Treatment Solutions business platform on a permanent basis, supporting projects across the UK as part of an in‑house multidisciplinary design team. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of projects from scoping to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.

• Develop mechanical design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with client specification and current regulatory and industry standards.
• Participate in project review meetings and safety studies (HAZOP).
• Consider project health, safety, quality and environmental matters.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Work with equipment suppliers to develop design solutions.

• Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within municipal water/wastewater treatment.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary design team.
• Experience across all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support and as‑built.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Full UK driving licence.
