Position: Water Opportunities - Scotland

Overview

Join AECOM’s Water Team, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects that shape sustainable and resilient water systems. Our Scotland work includes high-profile programmes such as Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise and other capital projects across Scotland and the UK. You will contribute to design delivery, innovative solutions, and collaborative delivery models with Scottish Water and enterprise partners to create value for customers and communities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of major water and wastewater projects within Scotland and the UK, contributing to design excellence and efficiency.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams (civil, structural, MEICA, geotechnical, and digital) to deliver integrated, data-driven solutions.
  • Participate in the planning, design, and delivery phases of programmes, including capital works and flood/blue-green infrastructure initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to understand requirements, risks, and constraints, supporting the achievement of project outcomes.
  • Contribute to innovations in climate resilience, low-carbon design, and remote/rural delivery by applying technical expertise.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and growth within a dynamic, global infrastructure team.
Qualifications
  • Technical experience in the Water sector, with capability to contribute to complex design and delivery projects.
  • Based in Scotland or open to relocation to Scotland.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
