Successful applicants must be based at one of our Scottish locations and will be expected to spend approximately 50% of their working week either on site in the Beauly area or in one of our offices in Inverness or Perth.
Salary£36,200 - £54,400 (Assistant Project Manager) | £51,600 - £89,800 (Project Manager/Senior Project manager) + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The RoleSSEN Transmission has exciting opportunities for a range of Project Manager roles to join our Onshore Capital Delivery team. These roles will support the delivery of the Fanellan Substation Project, working across civil, electrical and overhead line work packages.
As part of our ambitious Pathway to 2030 programme, you'll help deliver critical electricity transmission infrastructure that will play a key role in Scotland's transition to Net Zero. With significant investment underway across the network, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes and help shape the future energy system.
You will- Lead project teams and coordinate multiple external contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Support the development and construction phases of major capital projects, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, technical standards and regulatory obligations.
- Apply SSE's Safety Management Systems, best practice and project governance processes throughout all stages of project delivery.
- Develop supportive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear communication and support effective decision-making.
- For Project Manager roles, provide leadership, coaching and direction to team members, supporting performance and professional development.
- A well-developed background in project management, engineering, construction or a related discipline, with a solid understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach and a proven ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive actions to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Contract management experience, ideally including NEC contracts, with the confidence to support cost management, forecasting and project programme delivery.
- Experience delivering infrastructure, utilities, energy or other major capital projects, with the ability to adapt and apply your skills within a complex project environment.
- For Project Manager roles, experience leading others, with the ability to motivate, develop and guide individuals and project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
A full UK driving licence is essential for all roles due to the requirement to travel to and work from site locations as required by the project.
