Trainee Accountant

We are looking for a Trainee Accountant who is eager to develop their career in finance within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

• Supporting month‑end close, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets.
• Matching, coding, and processing invoices and credit notes against valid purchase orders.
• Completing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Processing company credit card reports and ensuring compliance with company policy.
• Preparing draft VAT returns for review by senior finance staff.
• Responding to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Liaising with finance managers to obtain invoice approvals where required.
• Ensuring full compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and internal controls.

• Essential:
  Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (desirable).
• Studying towards ACCA or a similar professional qualification (desirable).
• Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and keen to develop within a finance career.
