Management Accountant – Be part team turns numbers into nature
Are you an analytical thinker who can turn financial data into decisions that make a real difference for nature? At Trees for Life, we are boldly rewilding the Scottish Highlands, restoring the Caledonian forest, bringing back lost wildlife, and strengthening the bond between people and nature. As Management Accountant, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the Dundreggan Estate, Rewilding Centre and wider organisation, and translate financial performance into clear insights that help guide decision‑making, support fundraising and ensure resources are directed where they can make the greatest difference for nature.
This is a role for an impact‑driven accountant who enjoys partnering with non‑financial colleagues, understanding how income from accommodation, visitor experiences, café and retail helps fund rewilding, and turning data into meaningful stories about progress, opportunity and long‑term sustainability.
- Analyse revenue across accommodation, café, retail and visitor experiences, comparing performance against targets and forecasts.
- Prepare management reports, including clear commentary, graphics and trend analysis.
- Meet with budget holders and managers to share insights and support understanding of financial performance.
- Monitor profitability, margins and KPIs across Trees for Life’s projects, the Dundreggan Estate and Rewilding Centre.
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and prepare quarterly VAT returns.
- Meet with your assistant to share information, develop their skills and help the team grow together.
- Contribute to improving finance systems, processes and reporting tools.
- Visit the Dundreggan Estate and Rewilding Centre to understand the work behind the numbers and connect with colleagues.
Would suit a fully qualified accountant with excellent interpersonal skills, who has prior experience in the hospitality/tourism sector (or similar) and is confident in managing balance sheet reconciliations.
Nearly Qualified accountants will be considered with relevant sector experience.
