Treasury Officer
Location: Inverness |
Salary: £35,000-£37,500 (full-time), depending on experience
Support the Treasury function through the accurate and timely management of bank accounts, payments, cash movements and intercompany transactions across the business.
The RoleMeallmore Group is looking for a Treasury Officer to join our team in Inverness. The role will support the day-to-day Treasury function, including banking payments, cash management, intercompany transfers and the administration of bank accounts.
Working closely with the wider Finance team, you will help ensure that cash movements and banking activities are processed accurately and efficiently. The role has a broad day‑to‑day remit, with a focus on maximising efficiency and providing scope for career development within Treasury.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Verify new supplier bank details in line with company controls.
- Download bank statements weekly and maintain complete banking records.
- Process banking payments accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Arrange new bank accounts as required.
- Apply for new Service User Numbers (SUNs) as required.
- Manage intercompany transfers and ensure transactions are correctly recorded.
- Support cash forecasting and the management of bank balances.
- Maintain accurate Treasury records and provide information for reporting and analysis.
- Liaise with internal teams and banking contacts to resolve queries and payment issues.
- Ensure Treasury processes are completed in line with company policies and controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve Treasury processes and efficiency.
- Support supplier ledger and payroll payment processing as required.
- Provide wider support to the Finance team as required.
- AAT Level 4, a Treasury Management qualification, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a finance environment, ideally including Treasury, cash management or banking.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing as a strong team player.
