Position: Adult Support and Protection Advisers

We have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and committed Adult Support and Protection Advisers to join our team.

Essential Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Health Professional
  • Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject
  • Significant post registration experience at Band 6 or equivalent, including work in adult protection (child protection desirable)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Child / Adult Protection (or willingness to undertake).
  • Full UK driving Licence
Essential Experience
  • Post registration experience in Adult Protection
  • Experience of collaborative working across agencies and organisational boundaries at a local level
Knowledge and Competencies
  • In depth knowledge of national and local child and adult protection guidelines
  • In depth knowledge of adult’s and children’s rights and relevant legislation
  • Extensive knowledge of the roles and functions of other statutory agencies
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Supervisory skills in Adult support and Protection
  • Facilitation skills for peer and group supervision
  • Advanced theoretical knowledge of evidence based practice in relation to Public Protection
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodology, including audit and self-evaluation
  • Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions while prioritising multiple concurrent issues
  • Evidence of continuing personal development in the relevant field
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to critically appraise research literature and apply findings to practice
  • Ability to analyse highly complex information and make autonomous professional decisions
