Cleaner – Part-time (20 hours per week)

At Mitie, we are looking for a Cleaner who will deliver excellent service standards for routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer.

• Undertake all required training to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work within a team and use personal initiative.
• Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with contract and SLAs, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Ensure the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• Keep all equipment clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
• Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
• Maintain security – lock doors, follow lost property procedures, etc.
• Have full knowledge of the designated cleaning area, including the work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
• Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
• Adhere to all Safeguarding Policies and raise any concerns in line with Mitie policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on premises.
• Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and continuously improving the service.
• Carry out any other related duties within the job holder's capability as required by business needs.

• Cleaning experience preferred; training can be provided.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
• Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team.
• Capable of working on own initiative where appropriate.
• Open and honest.
• Self‑driven and determined.
• Strive for continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
