    Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:30

    About the Role

    The School Janitor / Facilities Operative will work within FM team delivering a range of services to our clients. You will carry out a range of Hard, Soft and Grounds Maintenance services and this role is pivotal in ensuring that all or a combination of maintenance, compliance, and grounds tasks are completed. Ensure, repairs and maintenance are undertaken in accordance with agreed protocols & time frames.

    The School Janitor will carry out tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure commercial requirements and quality of end‑to‑end service to user satisfaction, cost and timing are met. Working within a controlled H&S environment.

    Role Criteria
    • Experience of working in Facilities Management type operation desired
    • Good written & verbal communication skills. Numeracy skills.
    • Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures.
    • Able to use a PDA & basic desktop operation following training.
    • Able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrates company values e.g. customer first.
    • Full, current driving licence
    • Able to work weekends on as part of a rota basis (enhanced over time rates paid)

    We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role, in a demanding, fast‑paced environment. You will work 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level.
