Overview
Service Manager at precious design studio, full time, 35 hours per week, £36,000 - £42,000 per year, Cheshire House - Inverness.
Here you will lead a team that makes a difference every single day. One of our Service Managers describes the role as a blend of compassion, leadership, and purpose, ensuring people receive the highest quality care and support.
Cheshire House is home to 16 young adults with physical disabilities. Each resident has a private flat with lounge, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. The home is surrounded by beautiful parkland and within walking distance of Inverness city centre.
Your Working Hours35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be part of a national on‑call rota four times per year. Flexibility is required to work weekends as needed to meet service needs.

As Service Manager, you will provide strong, inspiring leadership to a talented care team. You will ensure the service operates safely, compassionately, and effectively, creating a culture where everyone can succeed.
Your Responsibilities- Provide clear direction, management, and supervision for all staff
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and statutory obligations
- Promote excellent outcomes for residents through person‑centred care
- Manage budgets and maintain financial sustainability
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management
- Maintain clinical oversight and support best practice in care delivery
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willing to work towards)
- Proven management experience within a care environment
- Strong people leadership and communication skills to build the team and the service to progress and improve
- Sound understanding of safeguarding and regulatory standards
- Competence in budget management and service operations
- Ability to build external relationships
