An opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Team Leader within NHS Highland. You will be responsible for the management and technical support of a payroll team of six Payroll Officers, ensuring the continued processing of weekly and monthly payrolls and that NHS Terms and Conditions along with statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements are met.

• Lead and support a team of six payroll officers in processing payroll.
• Ensure compliance with NHS Terms and Conditions and all statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance on payroll matters.
• Handle queries from internal stakeholders and external bodies on all aspects of pay.

• Professional payroll qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Strong customer‑service ethic and confidence in dealing with internal and external queries.
