We’re looking for a driven, commercially aware Warehouse Operations Manager (CPC Qualified) to take ownership of our end-to-end warehouse performance and play a critical role in aligning warehouse execution with transport and logistics strategy.

🌟 The OpportunityYou will lead all warehouse operations — Goods In, storage, picking, dispatch, and stock integrity — ensuring accuracy, efficiency, safety, and readiness at all times.
Holding a valid CPC, you’ll act as the operational counterpart to our Group Logistics Manager, ensuring seamless coordination between warehouse and fleet operations, protecting compliance, improving vehicle turnaround, and supporting OTIF performance.

🔧 What You’ll Be Responsible For 📦 Warehouse Operations Leadership- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations (Goods In, putaway, picking, packing, dispatch).
- Optimise layout, storage methods, and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure orders are picked accurately and dispatched on time.
- Manage seasonal volume and space planning proactively.
- Drive housekeeping and damage-prevention standards.

- Hold operational ownership of warehouse stock accuracy.
- Ensure system discipline at Goods In.
- Prevent negative stock, unshipped lines, and location errors.

- Act as warehouse lead interface to the Group Logistics Manager.
- Ensure loads are picked, staged, and released in line with route plans.
- Support driver hours compliance through warehouse readiness.
- Reduce delivery delays caused by warehouse issues.
- Provide operational continuity where required.

- Lead Warehouse Team Leaders and supervisors.
- Drive performance through coaching, 1:1s and PDPs.
- Manage rotas, absence, and workforce planning.
- Embed accountability and standards.
- Build succession plans for Team Leader roles.
✔ Improved engagement and retention
✔ Reduced absence and performance issues
- Ensure full H&S compliance (PUWER, manual handling, safe systems of work).
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective action.
- Maintain audit-ready standards at all times.
- Track KPIs (accuracy, productivity, backlog, OTIF).
- Identify inefficiencies and lead measurable improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve cost‑to‑serve and customer experience.
- Proven warehouse operations management experience.
- Strong stock control and inventory understanding.
- Experience working alongside transport/logistics leadership.
- Confident people leader who builds accountability.
- Strong WMS/ERP and data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent operational judgement.
- Forklift licence desirable (training provided if required).
