Knowledge Management Adviser

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

The Knowledge Management Advisor will strategically lead on knowledge management for the humanitarian work of Oxfam, ensuring that knowledge management is improved and drives decision making around technical standards, external influencing and improvements in responses to strengthen the quality of the work.

Lead the design and support the implementation of the knowledge management strategy for Oxfam’s humanitarian work, in concert with wider organisational KM approaches. Ensure technical advice and specific responsibilities on the implementation of some components and collaborate with other KM colleagues across the confederation.

To, along with other advisors, leads and managers, promote safe programming in all humanitarian responses. Be accountable for providing methodological approaches, frameworks and tools, as well as capacity building and steer, to advisors, country programmes and partners to ensure that knowledge management shapes programme decisions and follows feminist principles including strong awareness of power dynamics in the capture, storage and use of knowledge.

This is a Fixed Term role until 31 May 2027 with the possibility of extension.

This role can be located in one of the following Oxfam locations:
Ethiopia, Lebanon, Malawi, Nepal, Philippines, Spain, Kenya, UK. This is subject to right to work requirements being met.

• Deep commitment to Oxfam’s mission, values, humanitarian principles, and feminist approaches, including gender equality, women’s rights, and protection.
• Willingness and ability to travel (up to 12 weeks/year), including short‑notice deployments.
