Support Manager – Inverness, Highland

Thera Scotland invites applications for a full‑time, permanent Support Manager position based in Inverness. The role offers a competitive salary of £36,339.37 per annum and includes 33 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, own a vehicle, and have travel insurance permitting business use.

Role Overview

As Support Manager you will lead and coach teams to deliver person‑centred support, promote inclusive culture and maintain compliance with regulatory, contractual and organisational standards. You will build trusted relationships with supported individuals, families, local authorities, Thera Trust central teams and healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and management for multiple teams within a designated area.
  • Maintain a culture of inclusiveness, transparency and high performance.
  • Ensure regulatory, contractual and organisational compliance is upheld.
  • Develop and coach staff to support growth, development and delivery of high quality services.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with supported persons, their families, local authorities, and health professionals.
Qualifications and Experience
  • SCQF Level9 qualification in Social Care or willingness to work toward it.
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience leading teams and managing service delivery in a regulated care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexibility to travel locally and work across multiple sites.
  • Desirable: experience in coaching, mentoring and managing change.
