Managing Director/Regional Business Director - Construction Recruitment
Basic | Profit Share | Bonus | Leadership Opportunity
Build Something. Lead Something. Own Something.
Spencer Richardson has built a strong reputation as a specialist Executive Search and Recruitment business, partnering with leading organisations across construction, infrastructure, engineering and related sectors.
Now we're taking the next step.
We are launching our first Scottish operation and on the back of client demand, our first step is Inverness. We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven recruitment leader to take the reins.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature branch, maintain existing accounts and report on someone else's strategy.
This is an opportunity to build a business, however with a significant recruitment project already secured through a major client within the construction sector, you'll start with immediate revenue-generating activity and a genuine platform for growth.
From there, you'll define the future of our Scottish Construction division, establish a successful Inverness operation and help shape our wider expansion plans, including a second office planned for Edinburgh or Glasgow.
For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to combine the security of an established recruitment business with the excitement, challenge and reward of building something from the ground up.
Why This Opportunity Is DifferentMost leadership roles in recruitment involve managing what already exists.
This one involves creating what comes next.
You'll have the backing, systems, brand reputation and support of Spencer Richardson, but with the autonomy to develop the business, shape the culture, build a team and drive commercial growth across Scotland.
We are looking for someone who thinks like an owner.
Someone who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships, developing people and turning ambition into results.
The RoleInitially, your focus will be delivering a major recruitment project for an established client.
Beyond that, you'll be responsible for developing Spencer Richardson's Construction recruitment proposition across Scotland, building client relationships, establishing a high-performing team and creating a profitable, sustainable division.
You will:
- Launch and lead our Inverness operation
- Deliver a major recruitment campaign for a key client
- Build trusted relationships with construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, plant hire and haulage businesses throughout Scotland
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for the region
- Generate new business opportunities and secure new client partnerships
- Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team
- Create operational excellence through robust recruitment processes and standards
- Drive profitability, performance and long-term growth
- Contribute to wider business strategy alongside the Spencer Richardson leadership team
- Play a leading role in our Scottish expansion plans
