Join a Leading Manufacturing Business in InvernessWe are recruiting for an experienced Shift Electrician to join a large, well-established manufacturing company based in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical maintenance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in keeping production running efficiently and safely.
Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a large manufacturing plant, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and repair electrical breakdowns throughout the manufacturing facility
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise production disruption
- Maintain and improve electrical control systems and plant equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and legislation
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to support operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased reliability
- Qualified Electrician with City & Guilds qualifications or above
- Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, or processing environment
- Knowledge ofPLC systems, ideally:
- Allen Bradley 5/40
- Siemens Step 5
- Ability to fault-find and troubleshoot electrical equipment effectively
- Capable of working independently and making sound decisions under pressure
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
