Staff Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse to join our team within the acute medical unit at Raigmore Hospital. We are looking for a motivated, caring and compassionate nurse who can work well under pressure. The ideal candidate should be either experienced or looking to gain experience within an acute hospital environment. The acute medical unit covers acute medical assessment unit, medical high dependency unit and ambulatory emergency care.

Ward GA admits acutely unwell patients from the community and A&E. It is a fast paced and busy environment, and a very interesting place to work. Any candidates should be able to work well within a large and diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have enthusiasm to work, learn and develop themselves and colleagues. We also expect all candidates to have excellent core values and a strong sense of team spirit.

This is an ideal area to gain acute medical and critical care experience and be supported to improve your clinical skills. We help to support staff to progress in their career and working in this acute setting can lead to a variety of roles such as senior staff nurse, charge nurse and ANP. We have secondment opportunities for staff available and are happy to tailor these to best for the successful candidate's personal career goals.
