An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time, 21.9 hours a week, Band 7 Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner post within our team in the Ophthalmology Outpatients Department in the National Treatment Centre – Highland, Inverness.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward‑thinking nurse to join us. You will be committed to the delivery of quality patient care and to ensuring patients have the best experience possible when accessing our eye services.
Responsibilities- Provide a nurse‑led ophthalmic service in the NTC‑H and peripheral clinics, including intra‑vitreal injections, minor operations, botulinum toxin, telephone triage, watery/itchy/dry eye clinics and ophthalmic casualty services.
- Deliver cataract one‑stop clinics, fluorescein angiography clinics, ARMD clinics and other specialist services.
- Support the Senior Charge Nurse in leading, managing and developing nursing teams within the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.
- Experience working within an ophthalmology setting (essential).
- Qualified Registered Nurse (Adult) with current UK NMC registration.
The department is open Monday to Friday 08:00–18:00 & Casualty Clinics at weekends and public holidays.
