An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time, 21.9 hrs a week, Band 7 Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner post within our team in the Ophthalmology Outpatients Department in the National Treatment Centre - Highland, Inverness.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking nurse to join us. You will be committed to the delivery of quality patient care with an ambition to ensure patients have the best experience possible when accessing our eye services.

The Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing a nurse led Ophthalmic service in the NTC‑H and peripheral clinics, including Intra‑Vitreal injections, minor operations clinics, botulinium toxin clinics, telephone triage service, watery, itchy, dry eye clinics and ophthalmic casualty services.

In addition to provision of cataract one stop clinics, fluorescein angiography clinics, ARMD clinics etc. This role also supports the Senior Charge Nurse in leading, managing and developing nursing teams within the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.

Experience Of Working Within An Ophthalmology Setting Is Essential.

The department is open:
Monday to Friday 08:00 18:00 & Casualty Clinics at weekends and public holidays.

You must be a qualified Registered Nurse (Adult) with current UK NMC registration.
