We are seeking a Full‑Time Observe Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. This hands‑on role supports our Digital/Observe Feeding Consultant in all aspects of delivery of AKVA Group’s digital product suite, with a primary focus on Observe. Ideally candidates will have a qualification in aquaculture, marine biology, environmental science or related field – or evidence of sound knowledge and suitable experience of the salmon farming industry.

Observe is pioneering AI aquaculture, optimising feeding practices with cutting‑edge artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency, sustainability and profitability of fish farming worldwide.

Experience & Skills
  • Digital background
  • Knowledge of AI or a good understanding of its benefits and downsides
  • Ability to learn quickly about aquaculture operations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Based in Inverness or the mainland Scotland fish farm area
  • Data interpretation and handling skills
  • Ability to summarise complex data sets and write concise, informative reports
  • Degree in Aquaculture, Marine Science, IT or equivalent experience
  • Analytic data skills – proficiency with spreadsheets and data manipulation
  • Attention to detail with a structured and organised approach
  • Flexible mindset to work with fish farmers
  • Knowledge and experience of AKVA Group products
