NHS Highland Transport Department has two Bank Driver vacancies based at Stadium Road, Inverness. Bank Drivers provide cover as required during staff absence and periods of increased service demand. Applicants should be experienced drivers with knowledge of transport regulations, Health and Safety, COSHH, road risk, and moving and handling requirements. Candidates should be organised, motivated, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and service users.
A friendly, helpful approach and good knowledge of Inverness and the wider Highland area are essential. A valid Category B driving licence is required, with Category C1 preferred. An up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and valid digital tachograph card are also desirable. Duties include delivering laundry, mail, medical equipment, specimens, and supplies to hospitals, GP practices, health centres, and care homes across the NHS Highland region.
