Working on-site in our Kintore manufacturing facility, you will help ensure products are completed to the highest quality standards before progressing to assembly or dispatch.

This role has been created to support the expansion of NOV’s in-house coatings capability following investment in new coating technologies and equipment. As part of a growing operation, you will contribute to increasing manufacturing capacity while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and delivery performance.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare components for coating through cleaning, masking and surface preparation.
  • Carry out steel shot blasting to achieve the required surface finish prior to coating.
  • Apply protective coatings using industrial spray painting equipment in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect coated components to verify compliance with quality requirements.
  • Operate, maintain and clean paint shop equipment to support safe and efficient production.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures, using appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties in support of business requirements.
Qualifications Essential Qualifications
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience in industrial spray painting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of steel shot blasting and component preparation.
  • Working knowledge of industrial spray-painting equipment.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing quality standards and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
  • Reliable, flexible and willing to support production requirements, including overtime…
