Job Overview
Tramec Sloan - TS Iola Division is currently seeking an Assembler. Tramec Sloan is part of the Tramec Holdings family, with facilities located throughout the United States.
Position Summary:
The assembler is responsible for performing workstation or line‑assembly operations to assemble components into a complete product.
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (shift may vary based on production needs).
Essential Job Functions- Perform daily preventative maintenance.
- Perform a variety of highly repetitive hand operations to assemble components or units, following clearly established procedures and tolerances.
- Perform mechanized assembly operations requiring the use of hand or power equipment.
- Perform final assembly and in‑process quality inspection of the end product.
- Demonstrate ability to operate any and all machines in the department at specified rates.
- Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
- Work in accordance with the documented Quality System, ensuring products and services meet the customer's specified requirements.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area using the 5S process and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- May be required by management to perform other reasonable work‑related tasks.
- High School diploma / GED or equivalent experience, and minimum of 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic reading, math skills, and ability to follow instructions.
- Walking, sitting, and standing.
- Reading and keyboarding.
- Stooping, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
