Respiratory Care Practitioner; Part-Time - Ione, CA

Position: Respiratory Care Practitioner
Location: Correctional Facility in Ione, California
Pay Rate: $43.00 to $45.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 6 to 9-month contract (eligible for extension)
Workdays: Monday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Requirements

• At least 12 months of continuous direct patient care experience within the past 3 years in a public or private institution
• Current clinical competencies
• Valid government-issued photo  (Drivers License or Passport)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner License (hard copy)
• NBRC certification

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care services based on evidence-based clinical practices
• Set up respiratory equipment and instruct patients on proper use
• Perform complete medical evaluations during scheduled hours or upon request
• Maintain daily charting and ensure no chart is delinquent beyond ten days
• Assist in the development and revision of respiratory care policies and procedures
• Periodically assess and recommend equipment updates
• Participate in special projects such as quality improvement or utilization reviews as assigned by the CEO, CME, or their designee
