Licensed Psychiatric Technician - Ione, CA

Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician
Location: Correctional Facility in Ione, California
Pay Rate: $50.50 to $52.50 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, 6-month contract with potential for extension
Shift: Saturday to Wednesday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Requirements:

• Minimum of twelve continuous months of experience within the last three years providing direct patient care in a public or private institution
• Current clinical competencies
• Valid photo identification (Drivers License or Passport)
• Active and valid California Licensed Psychiatric Technician license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for clients
• Collaborate with service coordinators to develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per physicians orders
• Notify physicians promptly regarding incidents, condition changes, or medication adjustments
• Communicate effectively with staff and provide support as needed in daily tasks
• Act as liaison between the physician, client, and interdisciplinary care team
• Complete incident, medication error, and drug reaction reports in a timely and accurate manner
