This employee performs a full range of practical nurse assignments, requiring knowledge of proper methods, procedures, and basic nursing techniques. The nurse works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times.

Education

Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.

Experience

No specific type or amount is required.

The Department of Corrections may screen out applicants with felony convictions, in accordance with Public Act 191 of 2017. Applicants with misdemeanor or felony convictions are ineligible until satisfactory completion of any sentence, including parole or probation.
