Full Time Hourly Manual Labor Ionia, MI, US

Position Summary:

Perform all transportation and care of Poultry to and from farm locations to Herbruck’s highest quality standards.
Shift times vary based on business needs.

• Deliver Poultry to and from farms with professionalism.
• Maintain high-quality care for our Birds.
• Ensure load is properly secured and loaded.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and keep it in good operating condition.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform daily DOT inspection of equipment
• Comply with FMCSA rules and regulations for DOT hours of service and compliance
• Comply with Herbruck’s and DOT policies and required training
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Experience driving a 53’ Trailer
• Be able to proficiently read and speak the English language
• 2 years’ experience driving a truck; delivery experience preferred
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as assigned
• Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job, able to work with birds directly
• Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breaches of biosecurity to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.
• Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine , birds, or cattle.

• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb, push, and lift up to 55 lbs and occasionally 100lbs.
