Responsibilities- Patrol campus to enforce motorist and bicycle parking regulations; issue parking violations using electronic ticket writers; use independent discretion in enforcement.
- Consult tow list and enforce violations using the department’s towing procedures; contact a third‑party vendor and perform actions that may result in vehicle impoundment.
- Inventory prior vehicle damage and coordinate transport of critical information on vehicle owners between University Police and the vendor.
- Secure and maintain responsibility for impounded vehicles until the violator arrives or the vehicle is removed. érieures
- Hoard parking meters for reserved parking; post signs and place barricades to regulate and reserve parking for special situations.
- Oversee part‑time student officers; assist in recruiting, hiring, and scheduling them.
Monday‑Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Minimum Eligibility Requirements- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Any combination of public contact experience and/or college or university‑level coursework equivalent to three years of full‑time employment.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain UI Driving Policy.

- Knowledge of University of Iowa campus and locations of various parking facilities.
- Customer service/ public‑contact experience.
- Ability to adapt, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with people from various backgrounds and cultures.
