The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa seeks a physician for an OBGYN Hospitalist position in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This role will be based at the downtown campus hospital, a low-acuity community hospital. Responsibilities will include obstetric triage, labor management, antepartum and postpartum care, emergency department consultations, performing emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgeries, post-operative care, consulting and backing up family practice obstetric providers, and certified nurse midwives.
There is also potential for supervising residents, medical students, and certified nurse-midwifery students.
A 1.0 cFTE position would require 7 shifts (24 hours each) monthly, on average, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for additional compensation.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
