Otolaryngology Physician

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a  full-time Locum-to-Perm Otolaryngologist  to support  both inpatient and clinic services.  

This role offers a broad ENT practice with high patient volume, teaching opportunities, and a clear pathway to permanent placement. The position includes clinic, hospital coverage, and call responsibilities within a well-supported, integrated health system.

7:30 AM 5:00 PM

Procedure / OR Days:  Scheduled as OR availability allows

On Call:  Required and included in call rotation

Shifts per Month:  Full-time coverage

Job Details & Responsibilities    Provide  inpatient and outpatient ENT care

Hospital coverage:  Des Moines

Clinic coverage:  Clive

Participate in hospital call coverage (call shifts for hospital; hourly shifts for clinic)

Perform the full scope of  ENT procedures

Manage a high-volume clinic with  30+ patients per day

Appointment lengths average  15 minutes

Collaborate with strong clinical support:
Physician-to-nurse ratio: 1:1

Ancillary staff per provider: 1:1

Practice setup includes:
2 3 exam rooms per provider

On-site medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services (within the building)

Serve a diverse patient population across Central Iowa, including outreach areas such as Boone County, Indianola, and Pleasant Hill

Teaching opportunities available

Utilize  EPIC EMR

Required

Skills & Qualifications     Board Certified Otolaryngologist  Required

Active Iowa License or Active IMLC  (LOQ required at name clear) Required

Full-time availability  Required

Experienced ENT provider  Required

Clean malpractice and background history  Required

Willingness to pursue  permanent placement  (attestation required for locum-to-perm)
