The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications from interested undergraduates for a full‑time internship as part of the Cancer Research Opportunities at Iowa (CROI) program. Applications are open from November 1, 2024 until February 1, 2025.
Eligibility- Undergraduate in biomedical sciences or a related degree field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred; GPA of 2.5–2.9 will be considered.
- Students in sophomore or junior year of a bachelor’s program, or in the sophomore year or completing their degree in an associate’s program.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or international students (international applicants must discuss funding with their college).
These internships provide an outstanding training environment in medical research. Mentors are faculty members from the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, drawn from 17 departments and 5 colleges at the University of Iowa.
We encourage applications from populations who have been historically marginalized in science (NIH definition).
