In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, managing, and delivering municipal infrastructure projects — with opportunities to lead project teams and build client relationships. Whether it s street reconstruction, water utilities, or stormwater management, you ll play a key role in ensuring our projects meet client expectations, stay on schedule, and deliver outstanding results.

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the design, permitting, and construction management of municipal infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with engineering support staff to deliver successful street, utility, and stormwater projects
• Manage projects from concept through design and construction, depending on client needs
• Ensure the overall performance of projects, focusing on client satisfaction, financial success, quality control, and adherence to project schedules
• Serve as the primary contact for clients and contractors during project execution
• Maintain positive client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Iowa (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering
• Passion for municipal projects and collaboration within a team environment
• Ability to work independently, lead project work, and meet critical deadlines
• Experience in project management and client interaction
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interfacing with clients and contractors
