What You Can ExpectAs an Electrical & Instrument Technician II, you will plan job-site work sequences, conduct pre-job hazard assessments and briefs, coordinate outages, procure materials, complete assigned tasks, return systems to service, and document each step in the CMMS. You will also troubleshoot and maintain PLC-based auxiliary systems; design, implement, and configure new control schemes, modules, firmware, and software; monitor performance; and recommend improvements.
In addition, you will update wiring diagrams, schematics, system logs, and technical drawings while providing training and functional supervision to staff, fully meeting E&I Tech II standards and any other assigned duties.

- Update wiring diagrams, schematics, system logs, and technical drawings; provide training and functional supervision to staff while meeting E&I Tech II standards and other assigned duties
- Associate's degree in Automation & Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering Technology; or a total of 4 years of direct industrial automation and controls experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in troubleshooting, calibration, fiber optic splicing, instrumentation, and utility system maintenance
- Experience with electrical systems, including AC theory, single and three-phase systems, and watt‑hour metering, with application in power distribution and motor control
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety codes, and electrical regulations
- Proficiency in PLC programming, configuring control systems, reading schematics, and understanding Ethernet/network protocols and architectures
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Role requires daily attendance at worksite
- Physically capable to hear and understand audible alarms; detect changes in noise levels of equipment and portable radio communication
- Capable of frequently standing, walking, balancing, sitting, climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks and the like as required), kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting (min. 50 lbs)
- Capable of performing repetitive motions as required
- Required to have eyesight corrected at 20/40 to accurately read and interpret instruments, gauges, and manuals
- Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including half and full‑face respirators, fall protection equipment, hard‑hat, safety shoes, safety glasses
- The position consists of 85% indoor work and 15% outdoor work; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
Salary Range: $32.45 - $49.70 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
